The comic adaptation's been in development for years with director Edgar Wright. Now Variety is
reporting that two men are in the running to play Hank Pym/Ant-Man. The first is Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the other is Paul Rudd.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been strongly tied with being Doctor Strange, the question is which character would he play best?
Both actors are very different and have played very different roles in rencent films. There's also a 12-year age difference between them. Does this Mean Marvel havnt decided how old Hank will be or even decided what kind of back story he will have.
Insiders claim a third actor could be in for the running but as of now Gordon-Levitt and Rudd are the frontrunners. We all know that Simon Pegg was hinting and playing with the Marvel fans about playing Ant-Man, could he be the third candidate. Edgar Wright isn't interested in casting a Muscle man as the hero. Instead, he wants a normal looking guy.
Ant-Man A.K.A. Hank Pym, who's actually a brilliant scientist. Like Bruce Banner/Hulk and Tony Stark/Iron Man, his brain is his greatest weapon. Pym creates a substance that allows his body to shrink or grow larger. He can go from the size of an ant to that of a skyscraper.
Ant-Man is scheduled to hit theaters July 31, 2015.
